About Me

Hey there, I’m Michaela:

Your Dog’s New Paparazzi (eek!)

“I was born and raised in beautiful San Diego, so rest assured that I know the best locations for photo sessions! People might describe me as a bit of an old soul with adventurous spirit, dog and nature lover and someone who remembers the small details.

I have been vegetarian (mostly vegan) for 6 years now, so it’s clear I am an animal lover! I enjoy hot yoga, stand-up paddle boarding and chasing sunsets in my spare time, and dream of living on the road in a camper van with my husband and my own dog in the near future.

My favorite place that I have traveled to is Moraine Lake in Alberta, Canada. Fun fact, this is also where I got engaged!”

Now, you might be wondering what the letters BMAC stand for?

Well let me tell you!

Barley: Barley is my 4-year old rescue pup who I was lucky enough to train to be the best model and ultimate explorer. If I want to test out a new location, he’s there! Pose him on a big boulder with an epic view? No problem! He makes life more fun and is always up for an adventure or down to cuddle and relax.

Michaela: that’s me! The little lady behind the camera.

Adam: Adam is my high-school sweetheart turned husband as well as dog wrangler and posing coach, treat dispenser, and carrier of all the things. He turns my wildest ideas into a reality and supports me every step of the way.

Cosmo: Cosmo is the dog who started it all. He is the reason I pursued dog photography in the first place! I adopted him when he was 2 years old from Last Chance at Life Rescue in Oceanside, CA. It was clear that Cosmo had been through some trauma in his previous home, and this taught me so much about being a responsible dog owner, dog body language, and how to interact with dogs who might be a little more unsure or shy. If your dog is reactive or fearful, I truly get it and am confident that I can still capture great photos of your pup!
